This advert is pretty damn clever, spoofing Orwell's work, but using it so cleverly it appeals to the masses. I loved this ad. Didn't know WTF it was about back then. Trouble is, Steve Jobs has become a parody of that ad through his lame marketing. Orwell has been pastiched so many times I can't even spell the word, and Jobs is still in one when most of us aren't. Ho-hum, keep the aspidistra flying!!
